Program Highlights

The Trulaske family is a vibrant part of The Trulaske College of Business family. They have generations of alums and are the proud owners of TRUE Manufacturing, one of the world’s leaders and trusted names in commercial refrigeration. The Trulaske Scholars is made up of prominent business student leaders.

The Trulaske Scholars Program provides students with:

  • A corporate site visit trip every other Fall to visit TRUE Manufacturing headquarters in St. Louis. This trip includes multiple meeting with executives and a detailed tour of all facilities and first hand experience on seeing how every part of the product is made from start to finish and how a successful company is built and runs from the inside out.
  • A corporate site visit trip to Kaldi’s Coffee headquarters in St. Louis Missouri. This is a tour of their beautiful facility and the opportunity to see inside a small company that is growing rapidly and hear from top execs.

You can apply to become a member of the Trulaske Scholars if you are an incoming or continuing Mizzou business student pursuing an emphasis in Accounting, Marketing, Management, Economics or Finance and Banking. This scholarship assists very good students who do not meet the qualifications for Bright Flight, or the Curator, Excellence and Brooks Scholarships. The scholarship provides $9,500 per year and is renewable for a maximum of four years (8 semesters). First preference for selection of recipients is given to children of full-time active employees of True Manufacturing Company and other directly related companies. Additional preference is also given to students demonstrating financial need and students graduating in the upper two thirds but outside the top ten percent of their high school class. Special emphasis is placed on students who have exhibited business interests through work experience and/or other related activities. Applicants should also show evidence of leadership abilities and other activities.
