The financial support package for students accepted into the PhD program for business administration beginning in the 2020-2021 academic year total $25,900. This four-year funding is available for students making satisfactory progress toward their degree. Qualifications for summer instruction include completion of at least one semester of course work, satisfactory performance on any prior teaching responsibilities, acceptable progress toward the degree, and completion of English language proficiency skills that the university requires of international students. Alternatively, summer support for research-related fellowships is also available, on a limited basis.
Additional funding is also available through graduate fellowships provided at the university level. PhD students generally receive a full tuition waiver. To enhance your professional development, the College will provide departments with $1,500 per year, per student, to facilitate Ph.D. travel to professional meetings and to conduct research. These funds are available to doctoral students in good standing, and should be accessed through your departmental office with the approval of your department chair. Departments might offer additional support for research projects and travel associated with research presentations at major academic conferences. A medical insurance subsidy is provided for those with teaching or research assistantships. In addition, PhD students receive a discount on purchases made at the Mizzou Book Store.
