Maribeth Jones

Maribeth Jones joined the Trulaske College of Business in 2024, coming from three years with the Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) within the Division of Research, Innovation & Impact here at Mizzou. As a Senior Grants & Contracts Administrator with SPA, Jones developed positive relationships with faculty, staff, and graduate students. In this role, she worked primarily with the College of Education and Human Development but was also fortunate to have supported the Trulaske College of Business.

Jones graduated cum laude from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor of Social Work. She plans to further her education with a Master of Education in the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis with an emphasis in Higher Education at Mizzou.

As a postsecondary student, Jones held tightly to her ultimate career goal of becoming an academic advisor—a goal that has now been realized. She passionately embraces the opportunity to support undergraduate students in their journey to achieve their dreams, as she has now achieved her own. She is proud to be in the “business” of helping others!

Although she grew up outside of Washington, DC in northern Virginia, Columbia has always been home, with most of her family growing up here. With many Mizzou graduates resting comfortably in her family tree, the move to Columbia and subsequently into the University was a natural next step.

In her free time, Jones loves to sing, go cycling on her Peloton bike, play various video and tabletop games, and cuddle her cute pups, Freya and Fig.
