Adam Yore
Professor Yore's research focuses on corporate governance and has been published in top peer-reviewed scholarly journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, The Accounting Review, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Empirical Finance, The Financial Review, the Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, and the Journal of Corporate Finance.
His work on board structure, executive compensation, and managerial integrity has broad practitioner interest and has been mentioned over 80 times by media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, The Washington Post, CNBC, the Harvard Business Review, Fortune, Bloomberg, Fox Business, and CNN Money.
Professor Yore currently serves as the co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Financial Research, which is the official journal of the Southern Finance Association and the Southwestern Finance Association. The JFR is an “A” ranked journal on the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) list.
Professor Yore's primary teaching interest is in corporate finance. He currently teaches the undergraduate Financial Management course, the Investment Fund Management course (a.k.a., the student managed portfolio), and two Ph.D.-level Corporate Finance seminars at the University of Missouri.
Professor Yore earned his Ph.D. from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He also earned an M.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and Leadership at the University of South Florida and a B.S.B.A. in Decision and Information Science from the University of Florida.
