Trulaske students shine at international trading competition
The University of Missouri Investment Group (UMIG) participated in the annual Rotman International Trading Competition in Toronto, Canada, placing 26th in the Options Volatility Case and 29th in the Algorithmic Trading Case out of 52 total teams. Members of the University of Missouri team included Trulaske students Armaan Painter, Anna Kouba, Tyler Hemmerling and Tim Burford. The UMIG faculty advisor, Andy Kern, as well as Kerri Hogan accompanied the students.
Hosted by the University of Toronto, the Rotman International Trading Competition brings together teams of students and their faculty advisors from universities around the world to participate in a three-day simulated market challenge. Teams have the opportunity to take part in electronic and outcry trading cases, seminars with industry practitioners and social events with their fellow competitors.
