Accountancy professor wins SEC faculty achievement award
One of the Trulaske College of Business’s very own is counted among the best academic faculty in the Southeastern Conference. Inder Khurana, the Geraldine Trulaske Chair of Accountancy, received a 2018 SEC Faculty Achievement Awards. The awards honor one individual from each SEC university who has excelled in teaching and research.
Inder’s research interests are in the areas of financial accounting and auditing, and his recent research has focused on financial statement disclosure issues facing regulated and unregulated industries. His work has been published in several prestigious journals, including The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Contemporary Accounting Research and Advances in Accounting.
“The SEC is home to 14 of the finest universities in the nation, and I’m thrilled to have Dr. Khurana recognized among some of the best faculty within the SEC,” MU Chancellor Alexander N. Cartwright said. “He has made extraordinary contributions to accounting and has helped propel the MU School of Accountancy to one of the best in the country.”
