Ajay Vinzé Elected to Central Bank of Boone County Board of Directors

COLUMBIA, MO - The Central Bank of Boone County Board of Directors named Ajay Vinzé to the board at its December meeting.  Vinzé is dean of the University of Missouri Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business. Chairman of the Board Steve Erdel welcomes Vinzé’s broad business and academic expertise.

“Dr. Vinzé brings fresh insights to our organization in so many ways,” said Erdel. “Being new to the area, he will see our organization with fresh eyes and, combined with his extensive academic and business experiences, that will make him a real asset to our board of directors.”

Bank President Joe Henderson echoed Erdel’s comments.

“Central Bank of Boone County has always had a close relationship with the College of Business and we are very pleased to have Dr. Vinzé bring his insights to us.  His expertise in the areas of information technology and innovation are particularly relevant to our future,” said Henderson.

Vinzé joined the University of Missouri in January 2017 after serving more than 20 years in academic and administrative roles at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.  He earned his bachelor of commerce with honors in accounting at the University of Delhi, his master of business administration in finance at the University of Connecticut and his PhD in business administration from the University of Arizona. Dr. Vinzé's publications have appeared in leading scholarly journals including Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Decision Sciences, Decision Support Systems and Health Affairs. In 2012 his research was recognized with the Arizona State University Faculty Excellence Award.
