Sharan Srinivas is an Associate Professor with a joint appointment in the Department of Marketing and Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at the University of Missouri. He is also a Core Faculty member in the MU Institute for Data Science and Informatics. His research spans four primary areas: AI-enabled operations engineering, prescriptive analytics and optimization, service systems modeling and management, and supply chain and logistics.

Dr. Srinivas has authored over 45 peer-reviewed journal articles and contributed to numerous conference proceedings, book chapters, and patents. His work appears in leading journals such as International Journal of Production Economics, Transportation Research Part E, Annals of Operations Research, International Journal of Consumer Studies, and International Journal of Medical Informatics. His research has been supported by federal agencies, including the National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Defense (DoD), and U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), as well as by state and industry sponsors. He mentors PhD, MS, and undergraduate students, including honors students, through funded research initiatives and academic advising.

He teaches courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and MBA levels in areas including business analytics, machine learning, quality engineering, and supply chain optimization. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and has received multiple honors for teaching and research excellence, including college- and department-level awards as well as national recognitions from professional societies.

Dr. Srinivas has served as President of the Operations Research Division of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE). He remains actively involved in IISE and INFORMS and frequently serves as a track and session chair at national conferences. He is an editorial board member for two journals, namely, Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review and Scientific Reports, and a Topic Editor for Sustainability.
