Shannon Ferguson
Shannon Ferguson is the Director of Career Services in the University of Missouri’s Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business. In this role, Ferguson oversees strategic initiatives to assist student in achieving successful outcomes at the time of graduation. Initiatives include leveraging AI tools to enhance students’ job-market readiness, creating innovative employer networking opportunities that support students as they develop into competitive candidates, and launching a Trulaske mentoring program. Ferguson leads the career services team, overseeing one-on-one career counseling services, coordinating multiple annual on-campus career fairs with hundreds of employers, and maintaining a graduate success rate exceeding 95%.
Previously, Ferguson served Mizzou as the Director of the 150-hour and Master of Accountancy programs and assisted with various strategic plans to further the objectives of our nationally ranked accountancy program. In this role, Ferguson advised students as they pursued a career within the field of accounting. Additionally, Ferguson coordinated the school’s study abroad program to London. In Fall 2018, the Master of Accountancy degree was launched online where Ferguson assisted with program development. Prior to joining Mizzou, Ferguson worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in St. Louis.
Ferguson has also taught in an adjunct faculty role the following coursework: Intro to Accounting for non-business majors, International Accounting, Audit Theory and Practice, and Advanced Professional Development Principles.
Ferguson graduated from the University of Missouri in 2009 with Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degrees.
