Shannon Ferguson joined the University of Missouri as the Assistant Director of the 150-hour and Masters in Accountancy programs and is assisting with various strategic plans to further the objectives of our nationally ranked accountancy program. In this role, she advises students in the 150-hour program as they complete coursework and pursue a career within the field of accounting. Ferguson coordinates directly with firms and corporations in order to increase internship opportunities for current students and full-time placement rates for the graduates of the program.  Additionally, she coordinates the school’s study abroad program which takes place during the winter intersession for accountancy graduate-level students. The program travels to London, England each year and students will visit public accounting firms, international corporations and a regulatory agency.

She also works the students and faculty of KPMG Master of Accountancy with Data Analytics program in administrative manners.  In Fall 2018, the Master of Accountancy degree was launched online, Ferguson serves as advisor for students in this program and assists with program development.  She works with the Graduate Programs Office to facilitate the marketing and admissions process for incoming students as well as internship and job placements.  Ferguson has also taught in an adjunct faculty role the following coursework:  Intro to Accounting for non-business majors, International Accounting, and Audit Theory and Practice.
