Brenden Holmes

Brenden Holmes is the Executive Assistant to the Associate Dean of Research and Doctoral Programs. Before joining the faculty at the University of Missouri in 2022, Brenden worked as a Relationship Specialist at the Bank of Missouri. He does have experience in Higher Education, previously working as an Admissions Counselor at Columbia College. He is also a Navy Veteran, having served as a Hospital Corpsman at Naval Station Great Lakes and aboard the USS America. 

Brenden’s research interests revolve around the application of gender roles and societal norms in Graphic Novels. Feel free to ask him about the connection between Hegemonic Masculinity and the history of comic books!
