Knoerr earned a master’s degree in educational technology with an emphasis in instructional design and online instruction, as well as a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Missouri. She possesses a broad array of professional certifications that showcase her expertise and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Knoerr’s extensive experience at MU includes serving as curriculum and assessment consultant, academic advisor and instructional designer. While in these positions, she has demonstrated leadership in curriculum development, assessment strategies, online education and assurance of learning reaccreditation. Her proficiency with various learning management systems, including Canvas, D2L/Brightspace, Blackboard, Moodle, Schoology and with educational tools, such as Hypothesis, Kaltura, Panopto and VoiceThread, has empowered faculty and students alike, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, industry-responsive education. Knoerr’s dedication to inclusive and innovative curriculum design, data-driven development and professional growth underscores her commitment to advancing educational practices and fostering student success.

In her free time, Knoerr is active in the community and spends time with her family. She is deeply supportive of MU’s Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment.
