Mary Knight

"Makie joined Buckingham in January 2017. Her role is as an Associate Wealth Advisor. She joined the firm after working at Morgan Stanley for three years. There she had two different roles. Her first role was on a team of financial advisors where she worked as the client service associate managing client relationships, document inquiries and market activity. After that role, she moved into the alternative investments space. There she worked on the firms private equity and real estate funds. She was on the investor relations team working both directly with the funds on the platform and outsourcing that information to Morgan Stanley financial advisors. As a subject matter expert, she stayed current on research, trends and performance of the funds on the platform as well as market activity surrounding these topics.

Prior to working at Morgan Stanley, Makie worked at Alliance Bernstein and Sundvold Financial doing wealth management at both companies.

Makie graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Masters and Bachelors degree in Personal Financial Planning. During college, she was an active member of the financial planning association. She was the tax site leader for the Voluntary Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) and a financial counselor for the Official for Financial Success (OFS)."
