Trulaske sales teams have a strong showing at national-level competitions

Teams from the Trulaske College of Business recently participated in national-level sales competitions:

Huhtamaki Sales Competition

The 2017 Huhtamaki Mizzou team

The Huhtamaki Sales Competition is a three-tiered competition that was held in Kansas City on October 12-13. The Trulaske sales team was the overall first place winner and placed first in each of the three divisions. Adam Cooley won first place in the senior division, Brian Cobbins, Jr. won first place in the junior division and Nicole Cummings won first place in the sophomore division.

Northeast Invitational Sales Competition (NISC)

Mizzou competed in the Northeast Invitational Sales Competition (NISC) and placed fourth out of 22 schools. Additionally, Addison Amorosi won third place overall out of 162 contestants.

State Farm Sales and Marketing Competition

Trulaske students competed in the State Farm Sales and Marketing competition held at Central Missouri University in Warrensburg on Friday, October 20. Thirteen universities participated including University of Oregon, University of Minnesota, University of Houston, Arizona State and University of Georgia. Trulaske students received a total of $3,500 in scholarship money. 

Kathryn McDonnell and Danielle Washington competed in the State Farm event with Danielle winning the Gold for the Customer Service Case Competition.

National Team Selling Competition

The National Team Selling Competition was hosted by Indiana University Bloomington’s Kelly School of Business, where 24 participating schools presented solution proposals for a case provided by KSB. Mizzou placed sixth overall. Cameron Harris was MVP out of 32 students in his bracket.
