Trulaske alumni recognized for commitment to diversity

Two Mizzou Business alumni were recently recognized for their commitment to diversity and inclusion by an associate organization at Nationwide, one of the largest and strongest diversified insurance and financial services organizations in the U.S.

John Carter (BS BA 1985) president of Nationwide’s retirement plans business, was awarded the 2018 Executive Ambassador Award, which recognizes senior leaders who consistently demonstrate impact around workplace inclusion by creating an environment where all associates thrive.

Cristina Johnson (BA 2006), channel marketing consultant at Nationwide, earned the Cluster Member of the Year Award. This honor celebrates a demonstration of outstanding leadership through commitment, passion, and professionalism in driving the mission of the company’s associate resource group AWARE, which stands for African-American Women Active & Ready to Exceed.

Both honorees were recognized at an AWARE signature event August 30 in Columbus, Ohio, where Nationwide is headquartered.
