{COLUMBIA, MISSOURI} The Public Accounting Report (PAR) has once again placed the MU Trulaske College of Business’ School of Accountancy among its top-ranked accountancy programs nationwide. Additionally, Mizzou is in the Top 5 for CPA exam pass rates for 2017 for Q2.

The School of Accountancy climbed in national rankings, according to the 2017 report. In PAR’s 36th Annual Professors Survey, with nearly 1,000 accounting professors/leaders from approximately 200 universities and colleges responding, the School rose one spot to No. 13 for the undergraduate program while remaining steady at No. 15 for the master’s program. Scaled for faculty size, the undergraduate program and graduate program are nationally ranked at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively. In addition, the PhD program is ranked No. 20.

“For years, we have been proud to appear on the Public Accounting Report professor’s survey as a highly ranked institution. The School of Accountancy nurtures teaching excellence and exceptional research productivity. Our rankings affirm the high quality of the work that we so proudly perform,” said Vairam Arunachalam, director of the School of Accountancy.

The School of Accountancy offers a 150-hour program which awards both a master’s and bachelor’s degree upon graduation. The combination of rigorous degrees positions students for successful job placement in a competitive market with about 98 percent employed at graduation.

The School of Accountancy has been ranked repeatedly as a leading program in the country for research productivity and CPA exam pass rates, attesting to the program’s breadth of excellence. The School’s key metrics – student internship and job placement rates; CPA exam results and AICPA medals for exam performance; and the faculty’s outstanding research productivity, teaching excellence, and national-level service – highlight the program’s ongoing quality and excellence.
