For the second year in a row, doctoral management candidate Clarissa Steele won second place in the Mizzou 3 Minute Thesis competition held October 25, 2019, by the University of Missouri Graduate School.

The Mizzou 3MT competition brings together graduate students from around campus to showcase their graduate research in short presentations consisting of a single slide and three minutes. This year’s competition included 13 students. Steel presented her research, Taking Care of Business, and is advised by management Professor Daniel Turban.

Marketing doctoral candidate Bitty Balducci was also one of the 13 presenters at the event.

Other awardees included first place winner Majid Mufaqam Syed Abdul, a doctoral candidate in nutrition sciences who will go on to present at the Midwest regional 3MT competition in April, and People’s Choice winner Amir Mofrad, a doctoral candidate in chemical engineering. Winners receive a trophy and professional development funds for their research.
