Shannon Ferguson, Assistant Director of the 150-Hour and Master of Accountancy Programs, was honored as the MU Service Champion Award by the MU Staff Advisory Council on March 17.

The MU Service Champion Award is a campus-level staff award given to employees who go above and beyond the University of Missouri’s four core values: Respect, Responsibility, Discovery, and Excellence.

Vairam Arunachalam, Director of the School of Accountancy, said: “Shannon has dedicated herself to these core values and has done a fantastic job as Assistant Director of the 150-hour accountancy program.  She has demonstrated immense dedication to her work as it relates to advising, mentoring, and teaching students while also assisting with a variety of programs, events, and initiatives.  She is a highly capable, reliable, and exemplary staff member.

“Accordingly, I am most gratified to see Shannon recognized with this staff award and believe that she is an invaluable asset to the Trulaske College of Business and School of Accountancy at MU.”
