Trulaske launches inaugural Mid-America Trade Summit

Approximately 90 successful exporters, trade assistance providers, trade professional, educators and students from six states gathered on the University of Missouri campus on November 14 & 15, 2018, for the first Mid-America Trade Summit. Hosted by the MU International Trade Center in conjunction with the Trulaske College of Business, the event provided a unique platform to celebrate export success, support networking and share best practices on the topics of global trade, innovation and technology.

John Schram Lecture in International Business keynote speaker presenter, Shawn Askinonsie (Founder of Askinosie Chocolate in Springfield, Missouri), effectively connected with audience members on the topic of “Finding Meaningful Work in Today’s Global Economy.” Representatives from Boeing HorizonX, Black & Veatch and Trulaske College of Business shared insights, and discussed a number of emerging topics linked to “Global Technology and Innovation Trends."
