The Trulaske College of Business’s Center for Sales and Customer Development (CSCD) has been named a 2017 Top University Sales Program by the Sales Education Foundation.

The CSCD, which is co-directed by Wayne Keene, Associate Teaching Professor, and N. Syam, the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. Professor and Associate Professor of Marketing, was launched in September 2016 to serve as a dynamic environment for preparing future leaders in the sales profession by enhancing educational, research, and professional opportunities for students and faculty at the University of Missouri.

To be recognized as a Top University Sales Program by the Sales Education Foundation, sales programs must offer a minimum of three sales-specific courses, receive accreditation from an external source, and have university recognition of the program.

Sally Stevens, executive director of the Sales Education Foundation, noted that companies should have an increased focus on partnering with university sales programs and hiring their graduates, noting in her annual letter from the editor, “Candidates from these (sales) programs are more prepared to align with their initial sales roles and to compete in the ever-changing global economy.”
