Shawn Beal has served as a System Support Analyst Specialist at the Trulaske College of Business, University of Missouri, since July 2022. He brings over a decade of private sector experience managing IT and AV systems, server and network administration, and implementing security measures to ensure compliance with PCI, HIPAA, and endpoint protection standards. Shawn’s background includes leading software and hardware upgrades, overseeing billing and collections processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement technical solutions such as ICD-10 compliance and ANSI billing format conversions.

Shawn earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Columbia College in 2005. As a restorative learner, he thrives on solving complex problems and improving processes to create better outcomes for faculty, staff, and students. His current role focuses on hardware and software deployments across multiple platforms, identity management, and enterprise tools such as Active Directory, Azure, Jamf, and MECM.

In addition to his work at MU, Shawn performs 22-lead Quantitative EEG (QEEG) scans on patients aged six and older with behavioral and attention challenges. These scans play an important role in evaluating and refining treatment strategies for ADHD and learning disorders, supporting both psychological and medication therapies.

Outside of work, Shawn is a certified PADI DiveMaster, reflecting his love for exploration and continuous learning.
