Marco Pantoja, a 9-year United States Marine Corps veteran, holds a BS in Financial Counseling, an MS in Personal Financial Planning, and is an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®). Professor Pantoja is a Co-Director of the Center for Economic and Financial Management and an Extension Assistant Professor in the Management Department of the Trulaske College of Business. Professor Pantoja serves the students of Mizzou as a member of the Management 3000WI professor team and as a TRiO Personal Finance Coach. TRiO is a federally funded program to assist low-income, first-generation, and disabled students. Professor Pantoja serves Missourians as the program director for the MOTax Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. VITA is an IRS-funded program that provides free tax preparation and electronic filing of state and federal tax returns for low-to-moderate-income households throughout Missouri and neighboring states. Additionally, Professor Pantoja serves as an executive manager for the Community Health Workers Association of Missouri (CHWAM), a statewide organization dedicated to supporting community health workers (CHWs) with continuing education and professional development.
