Lerone Briggs is a Coordinator of Access Programs in the Undergraduate Dean’s Office in the University of Missouri’s Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business. Briggs is a higher education professional and doctoral student dedicated to advancing student success, leadership development, and first-year student engagement. He supports students through academic advising, college transition programming, and retention initiatives that promote persistence and academic achievement. Briggs brings 20+ years of experience in education with a background in both secondary and higher education. His work has focused on supporting underrepresented and first-generation college students' transition into college. Briggs has led the development of impactful student success programming that empowers students to build academic confidence, leadership skills, and career readiness. In addition, he has designed curriculum and taught freshman seminar courses emphasizing academic behaviors and skills, conflict resolution, self-efficacy, and personal growth, helping students build the foundation necessary for long-term academic and personal success.
