Emily Lorenz

Emily Lorenz is the career specialist and internship coordinator in the Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri. In her role, she supports business students in exploring career paths, developing professional skills, and securing meaningful internship experiences.

With more than eight years of experience in higher education, she brings a strong background in teaching, research, and academic support. She has taught over a dozen courses and mentors students in academic and professional settings.

Lorenz graduated from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Strategic Communication, and earned her PhD in Communication from Mizzou in 2025. A longtime Tiger, she enjoys spending time with family, being on Columbia’s trails, and cheering on Mizzou sports.
