Boyang Xia is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Marketing at the Trulaske College of Business, where his research focuses on digital platform economies and natural language processing. His methodological approach includes quantitative marketing models and machine learning.
Boyang holds a Master of Science in Marketing Analytics from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park. He completed his undergraduate studies in Linguistics and Arabic Literature at Beijing Foreign Studies University.
He served as a teaching assistant at the University of Maryland and as a research assistant at the HSBC Business School, Peking University. His professional experience spans social media management, project finance, and international marketing. Notably, he worked as a marketing management trainee in Cairo, Egypt, with CSCEC.
He loves riding motorcycle and hiking.
