Bethany Spitzmiller

Bethany Spitzmiller joined the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business advising team in April 2025. She graduated from Truman State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication with an emphasis in journalism. She then earned a Master's in Communication from the University of Central Missouri in 2022, where she worked as a graduate assistant managing the student newspaper and mentoring students in journalism.

After graduate school, she moved to Columbia to work as managing editor at a digital marketing agency, where she led a team of writers to produce content for clients. Now, she’s excited to bring her communication background into higher education, helping students discover their passions and work toward their academic and career goals.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, brunch-ing, and the occasional fishing trip.
