Becky Bocklage
Becky Bocklage joins the Trulaske College of Business Marketing Department with more than two decades of teaching experience. Bocklage has taught marketing and management courses in undergraduate and graduate programs. Courses taught include Principles of Marketing, Marketing Management, Marketing Research, Marketing Strategy, Global Marketing, Introduction to Business, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Intrapreneurship: Corporate Entrepreneurship, New Venture Creation, Small Business Management, and Topics in Business Administration-Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, she held director positions over campus operations at Columbia College in Jefferson City, and the Fishman Center for Entrepreneurship. Bocklage is a serial entrepreneur, having started more than 10 new businesses and organizations over the past 28 years. The longest running was a retail operation selling home décor and gifts with three locations across the state of Missouri. After that business was strategically harvested in 2012, Bocklage and her family opened another retail operation in 2014 and successfully cultivated a buyer over the next few years, resulting in a sale of the business in 2019. Presently, Bocklage along with her husband and son, who is a freshman at MU, operate a real estate investment company. The family is working on their fifth real estate flip, and their third investment property. Bocklage received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Missouri State University in Springfield, and she has certification as a Professional Certified Marketer – Marketing Management from American Marketing Association. She and her husband, Joe have three children: Lindsey who lives in Springfield, Hailey Rose who lives in Columbia, and Ron who splits his time between their home on the family century farm in Russellville, Missouri, and the MU campus where he and Bocklage have found their new university home.
