Jim has been president and CEO of the Missouri Society of CPAs (MSCPA) since 2000. As chief staff executive, Jim leads the strategic direction of the 9,000-member organization. In conjunction with a board of directors, he oversees initiatives dedicated to the advancement of the accounting profession in Missouri.  Key priorities include advocacy and outreach, firm and company engagement, career enhancement, and CPA pipeline development.  Jim is active in the top accounting schools, encouraging accounting students to stay the course from school through CPA licensure and career development. In this capacity, Jim works closely with accounting educator groups to keep all stakeholders current on issues impacting the profession.  He has been involved in the association management profession for 25 years. Jim holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) from the American Society of Association Executives and is a graduate of the Institute for Organization Management. He is a past president of the St. Louis Society of Association Management (SLSAE) and is currently president of the CPA Society Executives Association (CPA/SEA).  Jim is a graduate of Mizzou’s business school and received his graduate degree from Saint Louis University.
