Trulaske College of Business senior Brittany Hurt was part of a team that won first place in DECA’s Collegiate Leadership Academy case competition last week in New York.

Participants were paired with team members from other schools across the country to develop strategy proposals in various business areas. Hurt’s team won in the Hospitality and Tourism category.

Three other Trulaske students joined Hurt on the trip: freshmen Anthony Lupo and Damir Sijecic, and junior Jacob Sullens. Also on the trip were sophomore pre-journalism major Adriene Davidson and junior Textile and Apparel Management major Lauren Feise, who was a member of the winning team in the Fashion Merchandising category.
