Trulaske finance director, Crosby MBA director named finalists in campus staff awards
Two Trulaske College of Business staff were recognized as finalist for campus awards during the 2017 Staff Recognition Week awards ceremony.
Director of Finance and Administration Doug Tarwater was recently named a finalist for the Barbara S. Uehling Award for Administrative Excellence.
This award was established in 1986 by the Staff Advisory Council to honor an administrator who has demonstrated qualities of leadership, administrative excellence, and has contributed in some way to improve working conditions and the quality of life for MU staff. MU Chancellor, Barbara S. Uehling (1978-1986), whom established the Staff Advisory Council, was given the first award. The award, which consists of a plaque and $1,000, will be presented during the annual Staff Recognition Week Awards Ceremony. Assistant Vice Chancellor for Advancement Services Shannon Tindall-Jarnegan was presented the award.
Crosby MBA Director of Advising and Student Services Robyn Ridgway was a finalist for the Major Mick Deaver Memorial Award for Student Relations Excellence. This award was established in 1980 by the Staff Advisory Council to honor a staff member who exemplifies Mick Deaver's concern for fostering good relations with students. Major Mick Deaver was the Associate Director of the University Police Department at the time of his death in 1980 from an automobile accident. The award, which consists of a plaque and $1,000, will be presented during the annual Staff Recognition Week Awards Ceremony. Lt. April A. Colbrecht of the MU Police Department received this award.
