Trulaske College of Business welcomes new advisory board members
The University of Missouri’s Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business recently welcomed several new members to the Trulaske Dean’s Advisory Board:
Jason Birnbaum, BS - Finance
Senior Vice President of Digital Technology, United Airlines
Jason Birnbaum is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri, which he credits for laying the foundation for an impressive career at the intersection of business and technology. Today, he serves as senior vice president of digital technology at United Airlines. Whether leading digital innovation or mentoring future tech leaders, Birnbaum remains deeply connected to the values of curiosity, resilience, and forward thinking — values he began cultivating right here at Mizzou.
Meredith Imber, BSBA ‘02
Managing Director, The Carlyle Group
Meredith Imber joined Carlyle in 2023 as a managing director and senior product specialist for the firm’s Corporate Private Equity strategies. Imber was instrumental in establishing Trulaske’s popular Tigers on Wall Street program and continues to host students who are visiting New York, providing guidance, insight and mentorship.
Mel Niemeyer, BS Acc ‘89
Partner, PwC
Mel Niemeyer is a partner in PwC's US Deals practice and serves on the Board of Directors for PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance LLC*. In addition to his leadership roles, Niemeyer brings his 20+ years of experience providing financial due diligence services in support of deals opportunities to senior industry leaders. He is also a life member of the Mizzou Alumni Association and belongs to the Davenport Society and the Jefferson Club.
Mark Prouhet, BSAcc ‘01, MAcc ‘01
Partner, Forvis Mazars
Mark Prouhet has more than 20 years of experience providing assurance and consulting services and currently serves as assurance quality leader for the St. Louis and Decatur offices of Forvis Mazars, where he oversees concurring reviews, supports engagement teams with complex audit and accounting matters, and leads technical training. In addition to his professional work, Mark serves on the board of directors and finance committee of the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County and is also a member of the finance committee for the Associated General Contractors of Missouri.
Allyson Witherspoon, BSBA ‘99
Corporate Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer, Nissan Advisory Boards: Marketing
Allyson Witherspoon is corporate vice president and global chief marketing officer for Nissan. In this role, Witherspoon has been responsible for marketing communications and media, data innovation and customer experience, enhancing brand value, customer trust and insights, and brand and product marketing. As vice president of marketing communications and media, Witherspoon has also been responsible for model line/product marketing with a focus on revenue growth and profit generation for the Nissan brand and its dealer network. Witherspoon has served as Trulaske’s Keynote for Making Me Marketable Professor for a Day and was recently inducted into the Davenport Society.
