Three members of the Entrepreneurship Alliance, as well as three other students from the Trulaske College of Business, have been selected by the University of Missouri System to be part of the second class of the UM Entrepreneurial Scholars and Interns Program.

Robert Caffrey of Kansas City, Mo., a Computer Science major; Austin Denney of Parkville, Mo., a Business Marketing major; and Nicholas Jones-Fiedler of Kirkwood, Mo., a Finance and Banking major, are part of Trulaske’s Entrepreneurship Alliance, an initiative designed to foster a culture of innovation in students at the University of Missouri.

The other Trulaske students chosen for the Entrepreneurial Scholars and Interns Program are Ellen Lundstrom of St. Louis; Ciara May of Kansas City, Mo.; and Bryan Scanlan of Libertyville, Ill.

During the spring semester, the 18 students selected for the program will take approved entrepreneurial-related courses to be followed by a 10-week, paid summer internship. This exclusive program provides the students with a strong academic foundation in entrepreneurship as well as the opportunity to learn from a mentor or work within a startup company.

Students in any major from any of the four UM System universities are eligible for the program but must have completed a minimum of 30 hours of coursework and be in good standing with an overall preferred GPA of 3.0 or better.
