School of Accountancy grad wins prestigious Elijah Watt Sells award for high score on CPA exam

Lucas Singer, a 2015 graduate of the School of Accountancy in the Trulaske College of Business is a recipient of the 2015 AICPA Elijah Watt Sells Award. Lucas is currently working for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Kansas City.

The award is given to candidates who pass all four sections of the CPA exam on their first attempt with a cumulative average score of 95.5 or higher across all exam sections. In 2015, only 75 candidates of the 93,742 candidates who took the exam qualified for the award. More details on this year’s award are available at aicpa.org.

This is the third year in a row that a Mizzou School of Accountancy graduate has won an AICPA Elijah Watt Sells Award. Nathan Hutson and Hannah Miles secured the award in 2014 and 2015, respectively
