Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business receives prestigious grant from Internal Audit Foundation to Advance Internal Audit Education

Columbia, MO (August 20, 2025) – The School of Accountancy at the University of Missouri’s Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business is proud to announce it has been selected as a recipient of the Internal Audit Foundation’s Academic Alliance Grant, part of a global funding initiative supporting the future of the internal audit profession. The foundation awarded more than $275,000 in scholarships and grants this year, including over $122,000 through its Academic Alliance Grant Program.
The School of Accountancy received $5,000 to support travel expenses for three outstanding students to attend the Institute of Internal Auditor’s Annual Global Student Conference. This transformative experience connects students with internal audit professionals, exposes them to real-world case competitions, and helps prepare them for successful careers in the profession. The funding is part of a historic milestone for the foundation, which for the first time awarded grants to all eligible applicants in the program, including six first-time recipients and two new international institutions.
“We are honored to be included among the universities recognized by the Internal Audit Foundation,” said Stacy Wright, assistant teaching professor and internal audit academic alliance coordinator. “This grant strengthens our ability to prepare students for successful careers in internal auditing and underscores our commitment to academic excellence in this critical field.”
The Internal Audit Foundation’s Academic Alliance Grant Program, formerly known as the IAEP Grant Program, provides funding to colleges and universities recognized in the Internal Audit Academic Alliance. These grants support initiatives that prepare students for careers in internal auditing and foster academic excellence in the profession.
