MU International Trade Center Students: Supporting the Decision-Making Needs of Area Businesses
Spring 2024 MU International Trade Center Interns
Sixteen MU and Trulaske College of Business students interning with the MU International Trade Center shared findings from the semester-long global market research projects on April 26, 2024, with four Missouri companies each seeking to expand their sales internationally.
Students completed extensive research to identify and evaluate international markets with sales potential for each of the participating companies: J. Rieger & Co. (Kansas City, MO); Show-Me Bar-B-Q Sauce (Rocheport, MO); Spoor Farms Popcorn (Martinsburg, MO); and Sunnen Products (St. Louis, MO).
In comments shared with the students following the final presentation Luisa Fuhlage, co-owner of Show-Me Bar-B-Q Sauce said: “Thank you for all the amazing work you have done. It is extremely helpful for us.” Dennis Westhoff, business development manager with Sunnen Products Co., shared compliments and kudos with the students: “The amount of detail and drilling down to share company leads provides us with valuable insight and direction.”
