#MizzouMade: HerCampus.com names Trulaske senior a ‘22 under 22’ most inspiring college women

Bea Doheny, a marketing senior at the Trulaske College of Business, was recognized as one of the honorees of HerCampus.com’s “22 under 22,” most inspiring college women. 

Bea is the founder and creator of Astronobeads, a company that celebrates the love of the cosmos. During her sophomore years as at Trulaske, she decided to turn her passion for astronomy and art into a stellar business. In 2016, Bea launched Astronobeads, a cosmos inspired jewelry line to ‘help people wear and share the love of cosmos.’

In her interview with HerCampus.com, Bea attributed her success to her love for astronomy and her personal support system. She looks up to her older brother Jack, who is an entrepreneur himself, and her mentor Sarah Crawford. Mizzou’s Entrepreneurship Alliance program, helped Bea connect with Sarah, who mentored her through the early stages of business development and helped her form her ideas and hone them into ‘cosmic masterpieces.’ Bea said her biggest lesson during her journey was the importance of staying true to yourself and not letting what others think of you get in the way of your goals and aspirations.
