Connecting Exporters: 2025 Mid-America Trade Summit
Each fall, the MU International Trade Center, which is part of the University of Missouri's Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business, along with trade assistance partners from across the region, hosts the Mid-America Trade Summit. The summit provides a unique opportunity to bring together top exporters, global trade leaders and trade assistance providers from across mid-America. Outstanding exporters are invited to share export stories that highlight best practices and the lessons that have contributed to their export success. The event also provides an opportunity to recognize the companies that are achieving export success via the annual Outstanding Exporter Honoree recognitions.
The 2025 Mid-America Trade Summit attracted a robust attendee mix, bringing together 110 company representatives, trade assistance providers and students. More than 100 students from the Trulaske College of Business also connected for the keynote presentation, “Into Unchartered Territory,” which was delivered by Erik Peterson, Senior Partner at Kearney.
Additional panel sessions featured during the 2025 Trade Summit included:
- Supply Chain Resilience
- Business Opportunities in Africa
- Navigating Uncertainty: Tips from the Field
- An Ask the Experts Exporter Panel
Attendees also celebrated the global business successes of small- to medium-sized companies from across the nine-state, mid-American region. In 2025, ITC recognized the achievements of six Outstanding Exporter Honorees:
- Amfuel, Inc. (Arkansas)
- Conway Machine (Arkansas)
- Litania Sports Group (Illinois)
- Markwort Sporting Goods (Missouri)
- Missouri Walnut (Missouri)
- Unico, Inc. (Missouri)
