Spring 2026 Intern – Paul Mueller Company

Interning with the International Trade Center has been an amazing experience for me, both as a student and a future business professional. Throughout the semester, I had the opportunity to work for Paul Mueller Company, where my team and I researched global markets relevant to their interests, many of which coincided with some of the newest and most emerging markets today. Working closely together not only expanded my teamwork and communication skills but also connected me with actual business professionals and developed my global research skills. This process truly broadened my global mindset, as it's not often that students get the chance to engage with this level of international data in such a meaningful way. After a semester of work, we shared our insights with Paul Mueller in the form of a presentation and provided a recommendation as to which markets they should pursue. This internship is by far one of the greatest opportunities offered at the Trulaske College of Business, as there aren't many programs where you can grow in so many different facets at the same time. I also want to highlight that Krista Hinrichs and Jackie Rasmussen are some of the most helpful, knowledgeable, and kind people, always willing to help you grow. I could not be more satisfied with my experience at the ITC, and I strongly recommend it to any student in the business school!

Spring 2026 Intern – BioSpan Technologies

Interning with the International Trade Center has been such an amazing and rewarding experience, especially as my first internship. Going into it, I was definitely nervous and a bit intimidated, but the support from my supervisors and mentors made such a difference and helped me grow more confident in my abilities. I really valued how collaborative the environment was and how I was able to work closely with such a driven and supportive team. While the work was very analytical and content heavy, I genuinely enjoyed being immersed in this side of business and challenging myself in new ways. Conducting in-depth research alongside my team and turning it into real recommendations for a company was incredibly rewarding and gave me valuable exposure to global business in a way that felt meaningful and applicable. Presenting our final recommendations to the company’s CEO was a highlight of the experience and showed me the real impact our work had. This internship really helped me grow both professionally and personally, and I would highly recommend it to any student looking to gain hands-on experience while challenging themselves and expanding their perspective.

Fall 2025 Intern – Link Electronics

Interning with International Trade Center was an experience I’ll never forget. Working alongside students who have the same passion for International Business as I do was incredibly rewarding. Not only did I learn valuable marketing research and presentation skills, but we did hands-on work that actually made a difference. This experience was key in helping me decide what I wanted my career in International Business to look like.  Jackie and Krista were extremely supportive throughout the entire process, and Caven was an excellent student assistant. I’m extremely thankful for this opportunity and cannot recommend this program enough!

Spring 2026 Intern – Paul Mueller Company

Interning with the International Trade Center in the Spring 2026 Semester has been a wonderful experience. Through this internship program I was able to gain first-hand experience consulting with a company expanding to international markets. As a student team, we assessed their product needs, explored different market opportunities and entry strategies for the company to pursue post-internship. Mizzou ITC prepared me to think critically about data points and assess what they mean in terms of market entry for our company, Paul Mueller. As a whole, this internship led me to gain necessary research skills, knowledge of global markets, and further development of professional skills like public speaking, which have prepared me for my career post-graduation. I am very satisfied with my experience working with ITC and strongly recommend this program to any students interested in careers in global business and international trade.

Fall 2025 Intern – Salvajor

Interning with the International Trade Center proved to be a challenge that I was excited to overcome. It has helped me in my personal life and prepared me for my future career in the business world. The most important thing that I learned from this internship is how to work as a team. From day one, my team and I conducted our research on different countries for our company and formatted a large amount of information into a document and presentation. During that process, we had to split up to complete research individually, however I knew I could still rely on my team, even if we were doing different things at different times. Furthermore, I learned more about global markets, supply chains, and international trade. I highly recommend this internship to anyone that’s looking to learn more about these things, all while being challenged to find research that will benefit a company in the long run.
