This annual award recognizes excellence in teaching within the Trulaske College of Business. Nominees for this award are determined by a consensus of unit faculty.
Award Eligibility criteria
The award will be made annually for quality teaching at the undergraduate and/or masters levels.
Selection committee
The faculty of each Trulaske College of Business unit will nominate one tenured or tenure-track faculty member or a full-time non-tenure-track (NTT) faculty member from the unit for the award. The nomination will be made in the form of a one-page narrative written by a colleague in the nominee's unit describing the nominee's qualifications for the award. The narratives from the four College of Business units will be collected and distributed to all tenured faculty, tenure-track faculty, and full-time non-tenure-track faculty in the College who will then vote for the candidate they believe is the most deserving of the award. These narratives will later be provided to Raymond and Mary O'Brien, along with the results of the current year's competition.

Award overview
This award is intended to recognize outstanding, sustained on-campus and professional service by faculty members in the Trulaske College of Business. Each eligible faculty member and each member of the Trulaske College of Business Executive Committee may submit one nomination apiece for the award.
Award Eligibility criteria
All College of Business tenured faculty, tenure-track faculty, and full-time non-tenure-track (NTT) faculty, except those who hold administrative appointments, are eligible for this award after three years of full-time service at the Trulaske College of Business. A faculty member can receive this award multiple times, but no more frequently than every three years.
Selection committee
Each eligible faculty member and each member of the Trulaske College of Business Executive Committee may submit one nomination apiece for the award. A nomination will be made in the form of a one-page memo to the dean containing a narrative description of the faculty member’s activities and accomplishments in the area of service during the past three calendar years.
The narratives for the nominees will be distributed to the Executive Committee, which will discuss the nominations and then vote by written ballot first for a maximum of four finalists and then the overall winner from among the finalists.

Competitive Summer Research Fellowship.
Award Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for a Summer Research Fellowship (SRF), a recipient must:
- Hold a regular (tenure track), nine-month academic appointment at the time of application submission.
- Have successfully defended their doctoral dissertation on or before June 1 of the year in which the award will be received.
- Not be receiving contractual summer salary (normally provided for new hires).
- Not be on a terminal contract in the academic year following the summer of the award, subject to receiving notification of the terminal contract by April 1 of the calendar year in which the award would have been received.
- Proposals with multiple College of Business faculty coauthors seeking funding are allowed, as are proposals involving external co-authors and collaborations. Depending on funding availability, the award amount for each College of Business author on a coauthored proposal may be adjusted.
- A faculty member who was rated as unsatisfactory on any element of the most recent annual chair review is not eligible to apply.
- SRF stipends may not be awarded to faculty members who are on leave during the academic year following receipt of the award. Three types of leaves are exempt from this policy: (1) sabbaticals; (2) approved research leaves; and (3) approved development leaves.
