Janell Pittman is a strategic leader with a consistent record of transforming complex companies in different industries to create meaningful change. She is an executive advisor with Impact Partners LLC where she helps organizations who are transforming their industries and communities get from vision to impact.
For 20+ years Janell has used her passion for understanding what consumers want and translated insights into differentiated consumer and product experiences to build strong regional and national brands including Nestle (CPG), Better Homes & Gardens, Martha Stewart and AllRecipes (Digital Media). She also served as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM where she worked with clients in North America and Europe to improve profitability.
Janell completed a successful tenure as Chief Marketing and Digital Strategy Officer for Iowa’s largest health system in 2023. She led efforts to transform the system from acting as six siloed geographies owned via a complex joint operating agreement with two large owners to work as one. She had great success launching a regional brand that united 17 different local brands and developing a comprehensive digital strategy. Outside of her direct responsibilities, she also played a critical role on the ELT and was tapped to lead vision creation, culture transformation, and played a significant role in strategy development.
Janell earned her MBA in strategic leadership and marketing with honors from the top-rated marketing program at the Kelley School of Business. Her undergraduate business degree is from the University of Missouri.
She serves on boards supporting the environment, food security and other essential needs. She and her husband are the proud parents of two boys. The family loves exploring nature and can be found fishing, hiking and boating on the weekends.
