Charlotte Li is an Assistant Professor in Accounting at the University of Missouri – Columbia. Charlotte received her PhD in Accounting (2026) from Texas A&M University, MAcc in Accounting (2019) from University of Southern California, and bachelor’s degree in accounting (2018) from Capital University of Economics and Business. She teaches introductory auditing classes. Her research interests include topics in auditing and financial reporting. Specially, she examines how economic agents such as company managers and auditors navigate uncertainty and information asymmetry through learning, monitoring, and contracting. She previously worked as an auditor for Deloitte, Los Angeles for two years and holds an active CPA license in the state of California.
