Jessie Cheong is an Assistant Professor of Accountancy. She received her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Southern California in 2026. Her research examines corporate disclosures, regulations, debt contracting, labor economics, and sustainability. She leverages generative AI tools to analyze large-scale textual data to gain insights into firm disclosures. Her research has been presented at leading conferences and universities and has been recognized with a Best Paper Award and a competitive research grant. She teaches Data Visualization and Data Mining, a master’s level core course in the Graduate Certificate in Accounting Data Analytics.
