Crosby MBA Association

The Crosby MBA Association (CMBAA) is a student-run organization that fosters community within the program. CMBAA enhances the MBA experience through professional development opportunities, social events, community service, leadership opportunities, and lasting relationships. Every Crosby MBA student is automatically a CMBAA member and can take part in all of the organization’s enriching opportunities.

CMBAA is dedicated to professional development for all members by hosting networking events and engaging with Crosby alumni. The organization also provides funding for members who want to host professional development programs, such as:

  • Trainings
  • Workshops
  • Seminars

CMBAA hosts many social events throughout the school year. This year we have hosted home football tailgates, weekly lunches, a dairy farm tour, holiday gatherings, and intramural sports teams.

CMBAA also provides community service opportunities; every year the organization partners with a local non-profit. This year, CMBAA has selected the Central Missouri Humane Society for our philanthropy efforts. This fall, we hosted a wine tasting fundraiser to benefit the Humane Society and CMBAA members have also volunteered their time by walking dogs for the Humane Society.

If you are looking to gain leadership experience, CMBAA offers a multitude of opportunities on the executive board and leadership team in the areas of policy, finance, philanthropy, marketing and communications, and member engagement.

If you have any questions about CMBAA and its benefits, please feel free to reach out to our executive board members—we are happy to help!

Highlight of Recent Events

CMBAA recently raised $2,117 for the Central Missouri Humane Society by organizing a Fundraising Wine tasting event on October 20th, 2017. The event was held at the picturesque Les Bourgeois Vineyard that overlooked the beautiful Missouri river. The attendees enjoyed the sunset by the lake with a taste of some of the finest wines and entrée options. Students, faculty and MBA alumni contributed enthusiastically to the silent auction that was held during the event. The auction included several items on display such as a football signed by Steve Young and a winery tour among many others. Puppies from the Central Missouri Humane Society were also accompanied by volunteers for the event and the guests enjoyed their time with the puppies. The check was presented to the Central Missouri Humane Society on the 31st of October 2017 by the President of CMBAA - Callie Gunderson and the Philanthropy team.
