Employer Relations

Connecting Graduates and Employers

The Crosby MBA Program is designed to prepare students for professional success and personal fulfillment. MBA Career Services works hard to connect you with companies where you will thrive.

Professional Development Program
A series of three, one-credit courses including career events, highlighted by a speaker series in which senior business executives and other leaders share their experiences and insights on a variety of issues. Small group interactions with guests are very common and students often join speakers for conversations at lunch or at receptions after the events.

Alumni Happy Hours
Network with Crosby MBA alumni in Kansas City, St. Louis and Columbia at these events, held annually every spring. These events are a great way to build contacts and discover potential employment opportunities.

Consulting Projects
Two required consulting projects involve meeting with clients from the business community and working with them to solve real problems related to their business. Under the guidance of a faculty member, you and your team will present your solutions to the client and be prepared to defend them. You’ll gain invaluable experience working with clients, working as a team and seeing how business fundamentals come to life in the real world.

Study Abroad
Global business practices will be the norm for the future. Study abroad over the winter intersession or take business classes during the summer. Learn firsthand about the dynamic development of the global economy.

Case Competitions
Participate in MBA case competitions such as the SEC case competition or entrepreneurial business plan competitions.  Student teams that qualify for the finals of any competition will have their expenses covered by the Crosby MBA Program.
