Prior to joining the University of Missouri, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and has taught financial accounting both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her teaching interests include financial accounting and management accounting, with the latter being her teaching area at Mizzou. Her research involves compensation contracts, firms’ disclosure and financial analyst coverage, and corporate governance. She has published in several journals, including The Accounting Review; Journal of Accounting and Economics; Accounting, Organizations and Society; Review of Accounting Studies; Accounting Horizons; Journal of Management Accounting Research; and Journal of Corporate Finance. She is a CPA, and an active member of the American Accounting Association and the Missouri Society of CPAs (MSCPA).
