Greg Bier is an Associate Teaching Professor, the Director of the University of Missouri Entrepreneur Quest program, the Director of the University of Missouri Entrepreneurship Alliance, and he is the Director of the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities. He currently teaches Experiential Entrepreneurship (the Entrepreneurial Mindset) for the University of Missouri’s Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business. Dr. Bier is a U.S. Army veteran and completed his military service that began in 1985 with an assignment as an Operations Officer for the U.S. Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 2004. He has served in a variety of engineering, management, and academic positions for the University of Missouri, Stephens College, Missouri University of Science and Technology, the U.S. Army Engineer School, and the Missouri Department of Corrections. He was a resident “intrapreneur” for the Army’s Engineer School where he conducted several feasibility studies and plans aimed at broadening the scope of training and service of the United States Department of Defense. He was the founding Director of the United States Humanitarian Demining Training Center and the United States Army Engineer School’s Countermine Training Center. He has taught both business and engineering students at the undergraduate and graduate level through both resident and non-traditional formats. Professor Bier is a member of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO). He is the advisor to the Mizzou Chapter of CEO. Dr. Bier serves on several committees in academic and professional settings. He has served on the Stephens College Strategic Planning Committee and has chaired the Stephens College Planning and Budget Committee. He has served as a Reviewer/Editor for the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. He has served on the State of Missouri’s Board of Examiners for the Missouri Quality Award. He has also served as the Chairman of the Board of Adjustment as well as the Industrial Development Authority for Boone County, Missouri. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the University of Missouri’s Collaboration Leadership in Missouri Business and the Advisory Board for the Small Business Development Technology Center. He is also a mentor with the Venture Mentor Service in Columbia, MO. Dr. Bier is the owner of the Eagle Cliff Company, LLC and co-owner of Raymond-Bier Holdings, LLC and Influence and Company, LLC. He is an active angel investor with both Funders Club and Centennial Investors.
