Andy Kern is Assistant Teaching Professor and Director of the Jeffrey E. Smith Institute of Real Estate and Capital Markets. He serves as advisor to the University of Missouri Investment Group and Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity.

He earned his undergraduate degree (B.S.) from Truman State University and his graduate degrees (M.B.A. and Ph.D.) from the University of Missouri. Previously, he was a Registered Investment Advisor, Managing Member of a money management firm and also worked as a quantitative analyst for a unit of Guggenheim Partners.
