The Trulaske College of Business Marketing Department is among the best in the world for its research productivity.
The University of Missouri is ranked No. 40 in the U.S. and No. 46 worldwide for its number of publications in five leading business journals from 2015 through 2018: Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of International Business Studies and Marketing Science. Missouri’s North American ranking climbed 50 spots since the previous three-year period, reflecting the department’s growing commitment to excellence in research.
Research projects by marketing faculty have accumulated no small number of honors and awards over the last three years: Detelina Marinova’s research on customer interactions will soon be featured in Harvard Business Review and IdeaWatch, and Vamsi Kanuri’s dissertation, with Murali Mantrala as advisor, won the Elwood Buffa Ph.D. award from the Decision Sciences Institute.
“Our faculty are world class researchers. We are proud to be counted among the best research institutions in this review,” Marketing Department Chair Dr. Mantrala said.
The University of Texas Dallas’ Naveen Jindal School of Management tracks publications in 24 top business journals to provide business school rankings based on the total research contributions of faculty.
