Dr. Jiang joined Mizzou as an Assistant Professor after graduating from Georgia Institute of Technology with a doctoral degree in management. She is a member of the Academy of Management. Her overall research centers on the topics of innovation and entrepreneurship. Specifically, her past and current research focuses on 1) knowledge-based strategies for the creation and commercialization of innovation, 2) the interface between open science and commercialization, and 3) the commercialization of innovations through crowdfunding. Her work has been published in the Strategic Management Journal, Research Policy, and Industrial and Corporate Change, and has been quoted by Kauffman Foundation ( and She teaches strategic management at both the undergraduate and doctoral levels. She serves as reviewer for several major management journals and conferences.
