Mizzou's School of Accountancy rises in rankings

The School of Accountancy in the Trulaske College of Business has risen again in national rankings, according to the latest 2012 Public Accounting Report (PAR). In its Annual Professors Survey, the rankings place the prestigious program 13th for master of accountancy and 11th for PhD, an impressive leap from the previous 16th and 20th respective placements. The School of Accountancy has been ranked repeatedly as a leading program in the country for research productivity, faculty quality and CPA exam pass rates, attesting to the program’s breadth of excellence. This latest announcement solidifies the standing of the school's quality faculty, relevant research and exceptional students.

"The School of Accountancy continues to produce incredibly accomplished students while also undertaking high-impact research. To rise in rankings this dramatically for a program already in the top 20 is rare and an incredible testament to the quality and excellence you'll find in the program," said Joan Gabel, Dean of the Trulaske College of Business.

Undergraduate students enrolled in the School of Accountancy complete a 150-hour program, earning both a bachelor of science and master of accountancy at graduation. The PhD program trains and prepares students for an academic career at institutions having both teaching and research missions. Learn more at business.missouri.edu.
