Mary M. Pietrzyk

Mary Pietrzyk is the director of stakeholder strategy and engagement at the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI). In this capacity, she manages NEI’s strategy for research and outreach to third party groups, relevant stakeholders, and potential allies in order to amplify industry messages and identify opportunities for collaboration.
Mrs. Pietrzyk’s responsibilities also include leading outreach activities to the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners and its regional organizations on issues related to nuclear power, included the preservation of the existing nuclear fleet, used nuclear fuel management and new reactor development. She has worked at NEI over a decade, working for two years in federal government affairs before moving to the policy development and public affairs division.
Mrs. Pietrzyk holds a B.A. in history and international affairs from Loyola University Chicago and a M.A. in international affairs and energy development from The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs. She resides in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and two young daughters.
